Segment-Ring Light, consists of 4 UV and 4 white LED Segments

The SCHOTT VisiLED Ringlight S80-55UV uniquely combines the possibility of illuminating the sample with white light (bright field) or UV. The two contrast methods are switched electronically via the MC 1100 controller. By using 4 illumination segments each, the system works with identical illumination angles for UV and white light.

The UV-A LEDs emit light between 340 and 420 nanometres wavelength, with the central wavelength being 375 nanometres. The new UV ring light from the VisiLED series offers an illuminance of 100 klx in bright field and 160 W/m² for UV illumination. Each ring light is equipped with a 435 nm long-pass filter in the observation beam path. This ensures 100% safety for the eyes when looking into the eyepieces and clean operation of the camera.
